Birthday, Christmas and a New Year

Wow, December came and went so fast, but it was so much fun, get ready for a long post...

I flew out to Utah for Christmas a couple of days before Sam, the day he flew out it was his birthday.  Sam turned the big 30.  I surprised him and when I picked him up from the airport I took him to a hotel and the next day we went snowboarding.  Thank you to my parents who watched my kids, we had so much fun!

In our hotel, getting ready to go snowboard.

On the lift, we had a blast but it was crazy cold, my hair froze.

For Christmas we spent our time in Utah with my family and most of my siblings.  It snowed a ton which just made everything perfect for the holidays.

The kids loved playing in the snow, Taylor even got a kick out of it, seriously there was so much snow.

I was looking through pictures recently of JUST me and Sam and I realized that we only have pictures of the two of us from before we had kids, I couldn't find any recent ones at all, so I am going to try to make an effort and get more of just the two of us, I loved this one.

My mom and a couple of my sisters making Tamales, We baked a lot and had lots of yummy food.

We played games.

And watched lots of movies.  My dad set up a projector and screen on the wall in the basement, it was awesome.  The kids would just lay on the floor with a blanket and watch away.

Aunt Felecia and Uncle Logan read a book to the kids while we waited for Santa to arrive.

The grandkids dressed up as we read the story of Christ's birth.

Little Taylor only kept this on her head for second but I managed to get a shot, I think she looks so cute.

Santa came and surprised the kids, everyone was so excited.

My parents had a 12 foot tree, so big, and the presents were just bursting from the bottom, the excitement from the kids Christmas morning was priceless.

I don't know why I am posting this, I don't think any of us look very good, it was early, but it was the only picture I could find of our little family Christmas morning.

I just thought this was cute, the three of them all into the Nintendo DS

We headed back home for the New Year and did NOTHING...it was just what we needed and wanted.  We put the kids to bed early(they really didn't care and they didn't even notice) and we stayed up and ate Chinese and watched a movie.

We tuned in the last 10 minutes to watch the ball drop in NYC and we saw alot of this....Ryan Seacrest.

Happy New Year!

So cute, that is such a cute picture of the boys around the DS. The only problem is that now we will have all the same pictures on our blogs... oh well! Still good pictures!

I know what you mean about wanting to come home and do nothing--Utah trips are fun, but exhausting!! Cute pics!

Too bad we didn't get to see each other while we were all in Utah! That is so fun you got to take a trip by yourselves. We are still waiting for that. You kids are so beautiful!

haha, that last picture makes me laugh. It looks like Sam can't take his eyes off Ryan Seacrest long enough for a picture. Either that or he's giving you a dirty look. I can't really tell. :)
