Sam had the Friday before the 4th off so we got to spend some time together as a family, which was very nice. We headed over to the St. Louis History Museum. I thought the kids might be really bored but they actually had a lot of fun and we all learned a lot.

Abby is always picking up Taylor, and Taylor loves it, she is such a little mommy. I love this picture of the two of them.
We woke up to rain the morning of the 4th, and with a little push, I convinced Sam that we should still go to the parade. It was WET, but we all had so much fun, we were soaked. The kids got tons of candy and had a blast.
We spent the evening at one of Sam's co-workers homes and did fireworks there, they had yummy food and the kids just ran around and played. Here is Taylor showing off her ear plugs. This is the only way my kids will even be near any fireworks. But this year, Mason and Abby did better and even took theirs out.
